“Big ideas from the progressive wing of the party are gaining steam, and core progressive constituencies could be the deciding votes for both the primary and the White House,” said Liz Watson, Executive Director of the Progressive Caucus Action Fund. “Women of color are essential for Democrats to keep the House, win the Senate, and win the White House in 2020. A sweep is possible if Democratic Party candidates embrace a bold progressive platform and follow the leadership of women of color.”

“With the 2020 primary underway, we are in the midst of a battle for the soul of the Democratic Party,” said Aimee Allison, Founder and President of She the People. “The Democratic Party will lose the White House if they can’t inspire and motivate women of color. This town hall will ensure the best and brightest ideas are front and center in the midst of this historic and critical election.”
